A Shady Customer - Side Quest Guide (Minor dungeon spoilers)

Welcome to my first Side Quest Guide. With this, I'll be teaching you how to compete the side quest 'A Shady Customer' and how to unlock Kilton's monster shop, the shop that includes monster masks, spring loaded hammers and a familiar face....

 

First thing you want to do is to travel to the East Akalla Stable. That's where our side quest giver is. Activate the Katosa Aug shrine, so you can come back to the stable later.

Our side quest man is someone saying 'No issues to report!' and his name is Hoz. Hoz will say he needs a picture of a man named Kilton. Kilton is the owner of the monster shop, and he'll appear on the eye of Skull Lake. Now here comes the important part. Kilton's shop is on the RIGHT eye of Skull Lake, if we we're in Skull Lake's view. In other words, it's the one without the shrine.

Now for the catches: Kilton only sells at NIGHT, and he has a currency called 'Mon'. You can exchange monster parts for Mon. if it's day, set up a campfire on the eye, and wait until night. Kilton will be there. Speak to him, and he'll tell you where he sells. Kakario Village, Hateno Village, Zora's Domain, Gerudo Town and Lurelin Village. I have a hunch he sells at Rito Village, but I'm yet to find out if this is true. Now, for his 'monsturous' item list....

Monster Extract

This... I don't really know, but when cooking a haste elixir, I threw it in and it buffed it to HALF AN HOUR of haste. I have no clue WHY this worked, but it did, so I'm happy. I've also been able to recreate this, to give me two half an hour haste elixers. That's a full HOUR of haste. Gotta go fast!

 

Wooden Mop

The mop is... well... a mop. I don't see why you would buy this unless you REQUIRED a weapon. It only does 5 Damage.... So there's not much use.

 

Spring-Loaded Hammer

Now, don't let the 1 Damage fool you, this hammer packs a mean punch. The 4th hit in a row sends the victim flying. Looks like team Bokoblin is blasting off again!!

 

Bokoblin Mask

This peculiar mask looks absaloutely silly, but lets you blend into a gang of Bokoblins. It doesn't really do much more than that.... Moving onwards.

 

Moblin Mask

This looks cute, and lets Link blend into moblins. The only problem is, there's usually a camp of moblins.... with bokoblins. And you can't wear two masks at a time...

 

Lizalfos Mask

This... I don't see how the Lizalfos are fooled, but they are, so that's ok, I guess... I really have no clue on what to say about the masks. They all serve the same purpose, but just for different monsters.

 

Lynel Mask

The Lynel Mask is a lifesaver, especially if you see a silver lynel who your going to have to pass. Unfortunately, they'll see through the disguise if you hang around too long, so don't exactly stay and have a chat!

 

Dark [SET]

Set Bonus (No upgrade required): Night speed up

 

This set is the familiar face I was talking about. If you don't know, Dark Link was essentialy the boss of one of the Zelda games. He's just an OoT (Ocarina of Time) outfit, but in a jet-black palate, and doesn't go for many rupees, but BOY is he good to look at! One downside is that you'll need all four dungeons completed in order to Kilton to sell this. It's a downside, but SO GOOD to look at...
